Edited by Colin Timms. With a preface. John Dalton adapted John Milton's dramatic poem Comus for the stage, with music by Thomas Arne, in 1744. The following year, Handel was asked to add some new music for a performance in Exton, and he composed three airs and a chorus. This is the first published score of the version which was performed with Handel's music in Exton, June 1745. This is a reduction of the music for voices and piano.
