In three movements. With a preface in English and German. Liszt began working on this concerto in the 1830s, but did not complete it until 1849. He revised it in 1853 and again in 1856. Hector Berlioz conducted the 1855 premiere with Liszt at the piano. The CD contains a recording featuring pianist Eldar Nebolsin and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Vasily Petrenko.
